2012 Rules For Local Tracks

As soon as Gaffney post their rules, we will have an easy to print PDF version available here for free download once they have all been updated.

The only track that I know of that is on the ball was Toccoa. They have already posted (on their FB) that street tires will be kept for 4bangers, Stock 8 Headers will be allowed and the Rookie 4 class will be brought back to the area starting in 2012.

TOCCOA – The Rookie 4 – “This class is for YGS & drivers that have NOT won more than 2 or 3 races. Rules will be same as stk4. Eligibilty will be decided by the track. If you are capable of running stk4 you will be in stk4. THIS CLASS IS FOR THE INEXPERINCED DRIVERS & KIDS.” via Steve Massey on Toccoa FB.

JB Moser Making His Move Up

Written By: Robin Green

In every division, you have your new drivers and your veterans. JB Moser has started out the 2010 season as a new driver in Stock 4. Even with the rough start he had in the first couple of races, the 4th time was the charm finishing 4th out of 23 cars. It was the highest car count in that class so far this year. He may still be considered new but he is already giving the veterans a run for the money.

Rough Start In 2010

Moser started out racing at the age of 13 on the track of Riverside Speedway. When Riverside closed, he made Windy Hill (now TR Speedway) his home track. He has traveled around on occasion to Westminster, Harris and Gaffney but remains loyal to his weekly Speedway as do his many fans.

His Uncle Patch Anthony has been a huge help in his 5 years of racing and now his Cousin 10 year old Hunter Anthony has joined in the fun. This is and has always been a family adventure. “I couldn’t do this without the support them all.” said Moser.

With approximately 10 wins, JB hopes to add many more this coming year. He said, “The competition is harder in Stock 4 and many more great drivers that you have to beat to win.” With the kind of car count TR has been having so far this year, it is definitely not going to be easy for any driver but I have no doubt it want be long till Moser gets that first win in this class.

JB graduated in 2009 and since has been helping his father as well as working on his race car. What ever he chooses to do on through his life, I am sure that racing will continue to be a major part of his future.

JB Moser would like to send a special Thank You to his Mom & Dad, Uncle Patch, Bobby, Justin, Chance, BJ, Jackie, Bucky and all of his family, friends and fans for their continued support.

I would like to Thank JB Moser for taking the time to talk with me and his family for all their help as well as encouragement over the last few days. Good luck JB in 2010.
