By far, hands down, Screven Speedway is the best track in the South for 2012. Well atleast compared to the one’s I have attended. It’s not just your average dirt track. Nope it has a Drag Strip, Mud Bogg, Kart Track, Band Stand for Concert’s, a pay-to-play Kart Track and of course the dirt track that I have come to love over the years. Now that isn’t even counting the FULL Kitchen and Concession area with restrooms.
Oh and by the way, the restrooms were clean and seemed to stay that way all weekend. Was it the staff picking up after us or did everyone decide to represent themselves and their race teams with some class?
Paying $20 to get in and do it ALL was a HUGE plus for me. You could go in the pits, watch some Drag Race action, Kart Action, etc.. until time for the dirt action on the big track. It’s safe to say that we will be planing a trip back to Screven next year when they have another big event. However we will probably make sure it is summer so we can just drag the pop-up along. I sure hope that some of our local tracks from up here in SC were down at Screven this weekend taking notes. If a track comes to our area with ALL that Screven has to offer, I would have no need to go anywhere else…. Just saying!
