Was there a full moon out this past Saturday 7/3? I didn’t see one but maybe it was thinking about making an appearance because things got wild on and off the track at TR Speedway in Upstate South Carolina.

Young Guns were a mess from start to finish! I think I have watched that video 100 times and I didn’t see but maybe 2 or 3 solid green flag laps completed without a spin out, crash or bump up. Not only were there crashes, but HUGE crashes in multiple paces involving many cars on the track all at the same time. Those poor kids didn’t have a chance from the get go last Saturday night. 16 ygns were signed in. Most left knowing they would be spending the better part of a week to get their rides back together for next week.

Where were all the Renegade cars? They started out the year with well more than 10 each week. Now they are down to 4 or 5 a week. If I’m not mistaken they ran caution free as well as Crates.

Can we say “Black Flag”! Stock 4 got out of control at times on the track and in the pits. Deliberate hitting, spinning, cussing, arguing, and just all out acting a fool went on for these bunch of guys. The one lady in that class left with her head held high but missing a half of her front end. She didn’t show out. She left the track with grace and dignity.

SS4, Stock 8, Pure Stock and FWD were all really good races. They had fewer cautions, yet hard racing door to door. They 2 classes (Pure Stock and FWD) that have been known to cause mayhem on and off the track on a weekly basis has had fewer problems in the past weeks. Pure Stock even had the track pull the top 3 for a check and all came out fine.

We’ll have to wait till next week as the saga continues.
