I have actually started writing the book “Travelers Rest Speedway – How the hottest dirt track in the Upstate came to be”. We have been able to find a few sponsors that have enabled us to release the first 100 copies free to the public and are still in search of others to help after that, but never-the less we are well on our way to finishing this project.
Research has been key in finding facts and a huge Thank You goes out to all who have took the time to send me photos, stories, old papers clippings, ect.
I am looking for the release of this mini 25 or so page book to be around the first of March. You can contact me directly for information on obtaining a copy, or you can simply pick one up at TR Speedway next season.
