I regret to say that I was unable to get the top 5 racing results from TR Speedway on any class. I may be able to find out later, but as for now, I have no idea who finished where. This is a first for me. Last night was the last points race of the season and all hell broke lose on and off the track.
It started out a bad night in Young Guns when a Stock 4 driver was allowed to compete in that class and to top that off, my daughter Christina had a run in with the wall (all by herself this time). She had problems from the start of the night with the car pushing up on the turns. She had different tires put on over the last few weeks and I presume the pressure was not properly adjusted. She held her own until the very last lap when she lost it in turn 4 and hit the wall. For some reason her seat belts came off when she hit! (Now keep in mind that these are brand new 5 point harness belts that had just been installed.) She was sitting out on that track, with the rest of the young drivers racing to the checkered flag, with NO SEAT BELTS ON! Thank GOD no one hit her! Subsequently after the race, she was still complaining of shortness of breath, arm black and blue and leg pain, so we took her to be checked out. She has severe bruising in the chest area, left arm bruising, gash in the right hand and a little bruising on her right leg. Other than that, no bones are broken and head seems to be intact, because her teen attitude has not changed. LOL
Now back to the racing action. Because of the above concern for my daughter, I missed the Stock 4 race and Renegades. Once she settled down and we were set to watch a great Stock 8 event, all HELL broke lose! It was back to the same old “Wildman and Timmy show”! This one spun the other out, then the other hit this one under caution, not once, but twice and was black flagged. Wildman nor his fans went quietly, but never the less they left. The rest of the races are a blur as we were trying to get our car and things together on the trailer to get “lil bit” to the doctor.
We wish well to TR and hope that they remain open through out the rest of their racing this year, but may rethink our options for the remainder of racing this year. We need to first find out what happened to Christina’s seat belts before she is allowed back in one.
Also we would to note, that Jason Phillips was hurt during a hard hit in the Pure Stock race and is suffering from a concussion and multiple places of severe bruising. Please keep this driver in your thoughts and prayers for a smooth recovery.

What in the hell were they thinking allowing a child to sit on the track and not throwing a caution??? Last lap or not my god this girl could have been hurt way worse than she was. I know it is normal to race back to the checkered, but damn! Accidents do happen and I hope you find out what happened with the seat belts, so as not to have it happen again.
My prayers are with Jason and his family.
It is rules to race back to the flag and this just so happened to be a mishap that her seat belts came undone and the flag man had no way of knowing. I fault them none.
She will not be allowed back in that car until we can find out what happened or we will switch back to the old reliable ones.
She said the gash on her hand was caused when her hand hit the latch on her belts as she hit the wall and that is why they came open. If it is that easy to release the new ones, she will be put back in her old ones.
as far as the stock 8 race goes wildman and his fans were way out of control last night. there is no need to come back to tr as long as he and his idiot followers are there.
glad to hear 47 is ok and thanks for the update on jason
wildman should have never been black flaged at all! he only paid back timmy for all those times before.
postit, others who have done the same thing have been black flagged and suspended for a period of time and so should be Kenneth Bowers. He is not above the rules. I have tried to remain some what neutral on the whole Timmy and Wildman saga, but must say, more often than not, Bowers has become a huge liability.
It appeared to me that Timmy may have tried to take the 22 out in turn 2, but I can’t say for sure and then it was hard racing until Bowers spun out after contact. JMO
suck4u, you can’t lump all his fans in the same basket. Some are good, respectable people, but some are “not so much”.
who kows why some fans have to mak troble 4 all of us but wildman made a big misake last nigt.
What we saw last night was no race in Stock 8. That was a complete waist of time! Wildman should be banned for the rest of the year from racing at TR. Who knows what goes through that crazy azz head of his, but he must have some severe mental issues to behave in that fashion.
Most of the other races were great last night. Stock 4 was pretty good, Renegade by far was the best of the might. Limited was ok and Pure Stock was the best crash fest I have seen in years.
Thumbs up to TR for giving us something to write home about. Thoughts and prayers to fast recoveries for Christina and Jason. Hope you get the seat belt situation worked out soon so she can get back out there. Does anyone know how bad Jason’s car is?
Looks like her car is ready to go another round, though she is not. Seat belts have a safety feature for quick release and it did it’s job. We have to set it to use more force to open.
i agree not all are bad but most of them are.
78sr73, I just read on trackforums that Jason’s car is pretty banged up. Not sure if it is totaled, but from my understanding, that is a possibility. If you all want to read threads on what goes on at TR from drivers, crews, staff and fans, you can read all about it at: http://trackforums.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=66
has any one heard if they going to ban wildman yet?
Well, my seatbelts have the ball things are able to be tightend and untightend. somehow they got untightend and that lets it let out easier. My hand didn’t hit the belts, it came off the steering wheel and hit the dash when i hit the wall. But the impact of the crash let my seatbelts come undone.
I haven’t heard anything for sure yet whome.
is it possible that she bumped the latch for the belts and they came loose? Ive never had this happen to me but if her hand came off the steering wheel you never know what can happen in a hard hit like that hope all is well.
